PRE-REQUISITE:
You must be comfortable with reading and writing Hangeul and know basic phrases such as greetings.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS?

You want to learn basic sentence structures, essential simple grammar, and daily vocabulary.
You studied simple grammar in different tenses but haven’t spoken and need to practice it.

CURRICULUM:
In this class, you will learn simple sentences in past, present and future tenses about daily activities and feelings.

Course Weekly Plans (there may be slight changes in orders)
WEEK 1 (2/17 EST) : Self-introduction, greetings, A is B, A is not B, Intro to Korean grammar
WEEK 2 (2/24 EST): -은/는 and -이/가 particles, sentence structure, present tense ~아/어(요).
WEEK 3 (3/2 EST): Irregular forms of ~아/어(요), native numbers + counting, particle -을/를
WEEK 4 (3/9 EST): Past tense ~았/었어(요), sino-numbers + dates, particle -에/에서
WEEK 5 (3/16 EST): Future/probability ~(으)ㄹ 거예요, particle -하고/(이)랑, sentence practice

  • Each class starts with reviewing the materials from the previous week.
  • You will learn beginning level vocabulary each week as you make simple sentences.
  • There is listening + speaking / writing homework after WEEKS 1,2,3,4 classes for your review.
  • I give 1:1 feedback to your speaking and writing homework!
