Korean native numbers are used in counting mostly. Think of an old cave life. Why would humans need numbers in their native languages? To count the number of people or animal, right? So remember that!

몇 살이에요? How old are you?

You count the years you’ve lived, and that is why you use native numbers.

I am 18 years old. (저는) 열여덟 살이에요.
I am 27 years old. (저는) 스물일곱 살이에요.
I am 30 years old. (저는) 서른 살이에요.
My mom is 55 years old. 저희 엄마는 쉰 다섯살이에요.

Wait! Before counters, 1,2,3,4 and 20 shortens!

하나한 + counter
두 + counter
세 + counter
네 + counter
스물스무 + counter

I am 20 years old. (저는) 스무 살이에요.
I am 22 years old. (저는) 스물 살이에요.
I am 23 years old. (저는) 스물 살이에요.

지금 몇 시예요? What time is it now?

[native number]+시(hour, o’clock) [sino-number]+분(minute)이에요.

1:30 한 시 삼십 분이에요.
2:15 두 시 십오 분이에요.
3:04 세 시 사 분이에요.
12:00 열두 시예요.

Korean is macro to micro, general to specific. Give the time frame first, hour next, and the minutes last.

12AM 자정 OR 밤 열두 시
