Conjugation rules base on the plain speech level conjugation

EXAMPLES

선생님이 요즘 바쁘다고 하셨어요. (The teacher said s/he is busy nowadays.)
친구가 오늘 아프다고 했어요. (My friend said s/he is sick today.)
사람들이 요즘 일자리가 많이 없다고 해요. (People say there aren’t many jobs nowadays.)

걔 오늘 생일이라던데. 알고 있었어? (S/he said it’s her/his birthday today, though. Did you know?)
나한테는 아니라고 했는데… 이상하네. (But s/he said it’s not to me… that’s weird.)

친구가 오늘 아파서 수업에 못 온다고 했어요. (My friend said s/he is sick so can’t come to class today.)
걔는 보통 아침을 안 먹는다고 하더라고. (I remember him/her saying s/he usually doesn’t eat breakfast.)

언니가 오늘 밥 사 준다고 해서 굶고 나왔어! (Unni, you said you’re buying food today, so I came starving!)
민지는 밥 먹었다고 했어. (As for Minji, she said she ate.)
민호는 우리랑 밥 먹을 거라고 했고. (And Minho said he will eat with us.)

~다고(요)/~(이)라고(요) SENTENCE ENDING

If you omit 하다 after ~다고/(이)라고 and end the sentence, it becomes “I said…!” or “Did you say…?”.

문영: 사랑해. (I love you.)
강태: ……
문영: 사랑한다고! (I said I love you!)

뭐라고? = from 뭐라고 했어? (What did you say?)
